Long Beach

The city of Long Beach is part of the Los Angeles South Bay. It is home to the Port of Long Beach, which is the second largest port in the United States. The city of Long Beach is the 5th largest city in California, behind Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, and San Francisco. Long Beach is home to a significant number of students with two large campuses: the California State University, Long Beach, and the Long Beach City College.

[edit] Queen Mary
The Queen Mary, which is permanently docked in Long Beach Harbor was once a great luxury liner. It now serves as a Banquet Hall, Hotel, and event location year round. A Memory Spirit makes its home there, which could lend to the rumors of it being haunted. It's also conceivable that the ship itself is truly Haunted.

In the heart of the port, there is a small Barrens which is occasionally used by the local spirit courts as a "neutral meeting ground".
The Queen Mary, docked near Long Beach Harbor is home to a Prince of the Memory Spirit court that goes by the name "Keeper of Forgotten Glory". Physically, he resembles an aged librarian, and sends smaller jagglings out to retrieve bits of memory from the residents of Long Beach, and Los Angeles.

Sorcia of the Free Council owns and operates a Bar in downtown Long Beach. She employs several students from Cal State Long Beach, and in the later half of 2007 she had some significant problems being harrased by the Seers of the Throne
The Pyramid at Cal State Long Beach has been used as the site for an Abyssal ritual similar to the one which resulted in the linkage of V'ger, Cheshire, and Mina, however this ritual was interrupted before it could be completed. Research into the flow of magic showed that this site was being fed by Ley Lines coming down from Griffith Park. These Ley Lines were interrupted, but as of January 2008, the site is beginning to show paradoxical effects that indicate that some magic is being performed there once again.
There is a long standing rumor that Lady Twilight maintained an Athenaeum (Mysterium Library) somewhere near the port of Long Beach or San Pedro. Major Tom has recently expressed interest in finding the Athenaeum and either re-opening it, or raiding it for knowledge.

In October 2007, the City of Long Beach was given to Alder Janos Farkas of the First Estate to be his domain. He saw to its upkeep and security in service to the Prince of Los Angeles until his death in December 2007. In February 2008, Bishop LaCavalay was granted domain over the City.
