Santa Monica is a wealthy beach community that clings to the shore at the western end of Interstate 10. Home to the 3rd street promenade, and Santa Monica Pier, it is both a tourist attraction. The Promenade is also home to a number of exclusive, and well-known clubs, as well as some which are lesser known. In addition to the upscale bars and clubs, a dive bar named "Seth's Club" has opened up in the last few years, and has become popular.

The Santa Monica Cathedral is a known Elysium in Los Angeles that was maintained by the Carthians during their time in control of Santa Monica. Since then, it has served as a meeting place, and occasional home to Lancea Sanctum Ritae. During the day, it operates as a church, but in the evening, the courtyard and fellowship hall are opened as a very exclusive Nightclub.

Seth's Club is a known Rack, and is run by a Carthian who goes by Seth

In 1983, the pier was significantly damaged in a storm. That same night, Guardians of the Veil and Free Council mages living in the area intercepted several calls to the Police which reported a "Strange Purple Glow" off the coast near the pier. That night was the same night that a councilor of the Concilium vanished, and it is rumored that the storm was a massive paradoxical backlash after some unknown battle.
