Echo Park

Like the nearby Silverlake neighborhood, Echo Park has a reputation for attracting independent thinkers. During the early 50's, the area was known as "Red Hill" for the concentration of Communist sympathizers who lived there. While Echo Park was actually home to much of the original film industry in Los Angeles, the studios have long since left Echo Park for Hollywood, and points beyond, leaving largely only lower and middle class housing.

[edit] Landmarks

[edit] Echo Park

The park itself focuses on a man made lake/reservoir which contains the largest lotus garden outside of Asia, and a very picaresque fountain. Unknown to the people living nearby, the fountain is the focus of a wound

[edit] Spiritual Presence

An ancient spirit of greed and lust resides underneath Echo Park. Oddly, it's presence doesn't seem to infect the people nearby. It is possible that the presence under the reservoir is providing a conduit for the spirit to spread it's influences beyond the park itself.

The spirit resides in a tunnel which exists only in the Hisil and stretches from Downtown Los Angeles to the Dream Center in Hollywood.
