Downtown

Downtown Los Angeles runs the gamut from the towering obsidian sky scrapers with their several hundred dollar a plate restaurants and upscale malls to the abject poverty of Skid Row.

[edit] Landmarks

[edit] Olivera Street

This small section of street near Downtown is a historical district which preserves several of the original Pueblo buildings, and a tiny Mexican market which hails back to the early days of the city. Central to Olivera street is also home to "La Placita Church", a traditional Spanish church.

[edit] U.S. Bank Tower

The tallest building west of the Mississipi, the U.S. Bank Tower (formerly the Library Tower) dominates the Los Angeles Skyline. It is home to several law firms, and of course U.S. Bank offices

[edit] Union Station

Union Station was once the transit hub of Los Angeles. Currently, it is still a central point for public mass transit in the City. Busses, Trains, and Taxis all use Union Station as a major transit hub. It also serves as a Kindred Elysium, with several private rooms which Kindred use as meeting places.

[edit] Spiritual Activity

In late 2005, the Forsaken of Los Angeles cleared out a nest of Ant or Termite ridden that had taken over the top floors of the U.S. Bank Tower in downtown Los Angeles. They cleansed the ridden from the area, but there is still a low-level Locus near the top of the tower.

[edit] Awakened Presence

[edit] Vampiric Presence

Barnabus Kensington holds the lands around the downtown financial district as his own personal feeding grounds, and has for several years now. Outside of the financial district, Karl Orff has been granted personal feeding grounds, especially near Olivera Street. The Lancea Sanctum has long held Mass at La Placita Church, which is also an Elysium. Just across the street from Olivera Stret is Union Station, which is also an Elysium. Finally University of Southern California makes the third Elysium in downtown Los Angeles.

[edit] Lost Presence

Jager, the Yellow Cap is rumored to be building a hallow into the hedge in a skyscraper in downtown Los Angeles. The Good Samaritan Hospital near the 6th street exit from the 110 Freeway was noted in February 2009 to be under some sort of supernatural surveillance to the Lost there.
