[edit] Description of Venue

Los Angeles is a big city. Those not from the area cannot grasp the enormous nature of it until they actually drive through it. The Four Million souls of Los Angeles provide a constantly moving background for escaped changelings to hide in. Unfortunately this works both ways. There is no telling what has escaped from the hedge and is also hiding, waiting. The Freehold of Misplaced Dreams is situated right on the edge of this. From the NoHo Arts district of North Hollywood, the Freehold is situated just off center of the mass of Los Angeles. Ever since the Battle of Los Angeles infused the city with an immense amount of fear, the Autumn Court has been very powerful. They have never overthrown the other courts, but they have held a large amount of influence over the other courts. Events such the Whitter Earthquake only served to strengthen that hold. However, ever since the Rodney King riots and gentrification have happened, that hold has been weakened. As it stands now, the Seasonal courts stand even, with Autumn having just the smallest of greater influence. Now is the time for the Changelings of Los Angeles to forge their path. Will they chose a path to oppose their Keepers, or will they give in to the whispering allure of Arcadia.

[edit] Storytelling Mechanics

Proxy rules
The Storyteller must receive all proxies at least 24 hours before the game. Any proxies received after that will be included in the game at the Storyteller’s discretion. Proxies should contain character sheet, XP log, the player’s ST in charge’s name and contact information, and a brief write-up of the proxied PC’s goals, intents, haven while in the city (if needed) and a direct hierarchy of importance for all actions intended within the proxy. Most important of all is a -clearly- stated goal of player's willingness to have character enter combat or not.
Travel risks
Other than normal risks inherent in Los Angeles, there are no special travel restrictions. However, expect gridlock and car accidents.
Visiting characters
Visiting characters should be aware that the power levels in Los Angeles will cover a very large range of both wyrd and power level, with NPC's that will be able to create effective challenges for such characters. Character death may happen because of PC actions and NPC motivations. It should be made clear that some enemies may well be designed to be a challenge for the entire venue, which means that if combat breaks out, the enemies are not likely to be taken out by any solo PC.

Experience award guidelines: Base experience for this VSS is as per the supplement and materials from hierarchy ST's. Role-playing and/or other considerations can create additional XP, as can players through online RP and any other fashion deemed appropriate by the Camarilla.
